In this 2 inch x 3/4 inch pendant I see the Islesboro sunset, black ledges, and grey headlands.

The colors are all there creating an almost 3-dimensional picture. I utilized a free-form shape to blend and yet contrast the colors.

I love this stone! I cut this piece with beveled edges that make the piece look sleek, with a sterling silver design utilized for the first time by me.

In my work, I normally try to minimize the metal in the setting in order to enhance the stone, not the metal. Not this time! Instead, I handcrafted a large sweeping sterling silver pendant bail to grab the attention the stone deserves.
