January and February 2018 exploration on ‘The Carver’ led to discovery of a small, approximately 4 +/- acre, area which has produced a remarkably diverse and interesting batch of new stones. The 2018 Diversity Galleries display all of the stones found and cut so far. Many more new and interesting stones are being found and cut each week!
By diversity, I refer to the wide range of agate types and colors, with white, yellow, green and pastels dominating. I am seeing yellow, red, blue, green, pink, and white; also browns and many combinations of these colors together. Yellow is the most dominant color. I also see a diversity of agate types:
