New Bracelet: Unique “Carver” Agate

New Bracelet: Unique “Carver” Agate

Every now and then, I come across something unique. This new bracelet is a ‘Carver’ agate with red, yellow, orange, and green jasper all in the same stone! It features a small natural crystal geode-like void along the edge of the blue fortification agate.  I cut this stone to capture all of these colors within a single stone for this special bracelet. This stone is totally unique in coloration, completely natural, and hand cut and polished by me. Bracelet #2533 is set in sterling silver, marked with the J. L. Carver service mark and #22 on the back. It is available in the Shop now. I think you will agree it is unique!

New Bracelet: The Portal

New Bracelet: The Portal

The newest ‘Carver’ agate is the “Portal” agate.  This is one of the newest, most unique and beautiful agates found on ‘The Carver’.  It was named for the ‘portal’ in the center, surrounded by green, which leads to wherever your imagination wants to go. As a bonus, this stone has a beautiful yellow sunburst, as if the beautiful green inclusions were not enough. This stone was found in January 2018 and is part of a suite of totally different and unique stones (which included the citrine scepter). This suite of stones will be featured in an upcoming blog posting. I design and handcraft sterling silver bracelets when I find and cut a stone that captures my imagination.  I hope you enjoy this new bracelet: The Portal!

We are about halfway through the new Designer Gem Stone Galleries, with Gallery #5 going live today! Be sure to visit and check out these new polished stones. Details: Photo #2267:  Red and yellow jasper with green/blue silica agatization and lots of inclusions.  A wonderfully complex and beautiful stone. Photo #2276: “West Texas baconite.” I found it, I named it. This agate is part of the rind of a broken geode. Note the crystals from the geode center on the bottom. Photo #2281:  Cross-section of nodule, red/orange/yellow fortification agate with lots of mossy or bread-moldy-looking inclusions to the right.

New Bracelet: The Flame

New Bracelet: The Flame

New bracelet design for “The Flame.” A new petite sterling silver bracelet design was created for a bi-color stone which has been named “The Flame.” The stone is a cross-sectional slice of a Carver agate nodule which gave the cut stone its shape, size and totally natural coloration. Note the orange/pink rind surrounding the pink flame has a subtle polished wood look to complement the pure flame interior. Be sure to view this bracelet in the Shop!

Another new Designer Gem Stones Gallery is up! Be sure to visit and check out these new polished stones. Details: Photo #2250: Cross-section of carnelian nodule with white crystalline center.  For as yet unknown reasons, nearly 100% of red carnelian nodules from The Carver are heavily fractured.   Photo #2249:  “The Sun Flowers”.  This sun burst pattern is the result of cutting a slab from a silica nodule which contained starburst-like formations formed from zeolites.  They are observed in many different colors on The Carver.

Photo #2229:  Fractured yellow jasper naturally re-cemented with silica and fortification agates and wild diverse inclusions.
